Job Description

The Research Scientist in medicinal chemistry will be responsible for the proposal, synthesis, purification and characterization of complex organic small molecules to be carried out for external R&D clients. Oxeltis works for the pharmaceutical industry within contracts in medicinal chemistry (mostly in oncology, neurology, and infectious diseases) or custom synthesis and route scouting. The candidate will be part of a project group under the leadership of Oxeltis’ Chemistry Director.

Profile

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in organic chemistry with 2-4 years of experience in medicinal chemistry. This position may also suit a candidate with a previous Post Doc experience. He/she will be familiar with modern synthetic techniques, purification and characterizations methods. An experience in SPPS  and/or Targeted Protein Degradation would be an asset. He/she must be fluent in English and possibly French.
