Position:  Research Associate Analytical Chemistry (MSc.)

Site: Montpellier, France 

Duration: Fix term contract 18 months.

Starting date: July 2024

Job Description

The Research Associate in Analytical Chemistry will work independently within the medicinal chemistry group and will be responsible for the purification of complex small molecules (heterocyclic molecules, nucleos(t)ides, sugars, short peptides, etc.) synthesized by Oxeltis group of chemists. He/she will develop analytical methods, assume first level maintenance and organize preventive/curative maintenance of all chromatographic systems (flash chromatography, HPLC, LC/MS, prep HPLC) accordingly to the QMS in place (ISO 9001). He/She will take part to new instrumentation selection and purchase.

Profile

The successful candidate should hold a MSc. in analytical chemistry. He/she must be familiar with modern purification and analytical techniques (experience in SFC is an asset) Previous experience in a pharma/biotech or service company within an analytic team (min. 2-4 years) as well as knowledge of MassHunter software is desired. The candidate is expected to have strong interpersonal communication skills and demonstrate high productivity. He/she must be fluent in French.
